As for seeing anyone odd... well, I tend to see very odd things as commonplace, so I guess it'd depend on what you'd be looking for in 'odd'.

The Rank-Up-Magics are a case I am currently working on.

My name is Sekka. I work for Noriko as a part of her security team. Her mansion got broken into by a Rank-Up-Magic user, so I've been investigating into it.

I remember Noriko filing a report about that, yeah. We've been all over the place lately, so the department's investigative is very divided.

Well, those are the descriptions I've gotten for the ones who're apparently passing out those Rank-Up cards.

I see. Mmm, Blonde hair is a correlation but not one we can strongly look into.

...As far as 'two types', the most recent Rank-Up-Magic to surface was 'Barian's Force', which is somewhat different, if analogous in purpose, to 'Inner Demon's Force', a card that was used often during the Dark Mist case.

The one I'm looking for is the "Barian's Force" one.

I don't know anything about an "Inner Demon's Force".

I would hope not, Inner Demon's hasn't been seen for quite some time. Implications could be... bad.

At any rate, we are also on the lookout for Barian's Force, but we haven't been able to really get a good eye on probable perps.

I would think that Caucasian types or blonde girls wouldn't be way too common, in this city.

That much is true. I think we can put out an updated bulletin, but... well. It might take a while. You might have better luck finding it than we will right now, with all the attacks going on...

It's really just my luck all this stuff ends up happening concurrently. But a lead on the kind of stuff Barian's Force does might give us an idea of how to deal with Rank-Up-Magic as a whole.

No, no, it's fine. I didn't expect too much help, anyway. I don't really "know" anyone to expect connections or deep assistance.

I mean. I'm always available, I can make shifts in my schedule. And...I guess I'm like, unofficially security in a way, the way Noriko talks, but-

I don't have any hard info to help. Which is a pain in the rear, cause I sure wish I did.

All I know is that the "Rank-Up-Magic" cards do something unnatural, and I want to stop it.

More laidback, not necessarily shirking duties, just ... she runs her business very casually. Not sloppy, just with an air of "as long as you're doing your job, you can be relaxed".

Don't take it as me trying to say I don't like it. It's kind of a welcome change-up from what I'm used to, honestly.

I have... a natural inclination for being strict and prudent, that's all.

Not that Noriko probably wouldn't want me to be more like you describe, but that isn't how I am.

Well, I don't mind that, to be honest. It's more in line with myself or Niyo at SpecInv. We relax at times, but when work's to be done, we buckle down hard.
